Now, I know it is almost winter and many of you may be putting the cover over your BBQ for the season, but, I’ve got a great recipe for you anyway.
Besides, it is mostly about the marinade so you could always pan fry the dish or cook it in the oven.
Usually I stick to chicken, pork, or something slow-cookable on weekday evenings, but this salmon recipe is so quick that it’s the perfect addition if you are looking to mix things up. And, if you’re one of the lucky ones with a Costco membership, they always have the biggest and cheapest pieces!
The ingredients are quite simple, leaving your salmon tasting tangy & sweet.
Without further ado, here we go!
– 3 Tablespoons brown sugar
– 1 Tablespoon honey (or syrup)
– 2 Tablespoons butter
– ¼ cup Dijon mustard
– 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
– 2 Tablespoons olive oil
– 1 Tablespoon ginger (finely grated or in the powder form)
This portion size will cover about 6 6oz fillets.
Step One: Melt the brown sugar, honey, and butter in a saucepan on medium heat.
Step Two: Remove the melted mixture from the heat, and stir in mustard, soy sauce, olive oil, and ginger.
Step Three: Coat salmon with vegetable oil and add salt and pepper.
Step Four: Place salmon on BBQ, coat with glaze and let sit for 6-8 minutes on medium heat.
Step Five: Turn salmon, coat with glaze, and let sit for 6-8 minutes on medium heat.
