Pizza Friday Recommendations

I am no stranger to a good pizza.

At first, I started the tradition of Pizza Fridays as a way to celebrate the end of challenging week. But, then I figured why not just celebrate the weekend in general? All of a sudden, I’m eating pizza each and every Friday night – but, I’m not complaining about it.

So, in honour of tonight’s dinner, I thought I would share a few of my favourite spots.

Dining Out

1. Posto Pizzeria – this place consistently comes in at the top of my list. The crust is bubbly, chewy, and salty and the toppings are fresh and creative. The fiore di latte cheese…ugh, dreamy. They can keep it coming. Reservations recommended on a Friday night. If it’s full, check out the sister location – Cibo. Review here.

2. LDV Pizza Bar – once again, the Italians make a good pizza. Thin crust, fresh ingredients, and yummy toppings. Review here.

3. Una Pizza & Wine – another crowd favourite. Thin crust and fresh – but beware, this place is packed. They don’t take reservations so get there early. Review here.

1. Panago – decent quality at a cheap price. Plus, they’ve got quite a few locations. Order online and head in to pick up – or keep the PJs on and select delivery.

2. Little Ceasars – right now they’ve got a promotion on for a Deep Dish pepperoni pizza at $9.99. It’s about 8 slices of thick, cheesy pizza loaded with slices of pepperoni. Their new crust is quite soft and chewy – with a slightly crunchy outside. Grab a bag of Crazy bread and you’re all set.

3. Spiro’s pizza – quite pricey but the toppings are not your everyday ingredients. With options like Island Pizza, your taste buds will be thanking you. Plus, the pizzas are big enough for dinner (and tomorrow’s lunch).

Check out my recipe for a yummy pizza crust. Grab a few ingredients from your local grocery store, and create your own! Next week I’ll be participating in the YYC Pizza Week Challenge, so stay tuned!

You really can’t go wrong either way. Which will you choose?
