There’s a new Carol Baker Visage in town, and it’s not your mother’s old make up shop.
I was invited to check out the new boutique at Sunridge Mall with promises of great brows and even better skin. Of course, I accepted.
My first impression of the boutique was its modern décor and colourful products. As they deal with everything from the chest upwards, there are creams, gels, and powders displayed throughout. The staff took us through some of their favourite products and then in no time, we were whisked to the beauty chairs for an eyebrow makeover.
The consultants took us through their HD Brows service where they tint your brows, shape them, and apply any necessary make up. In no time we were choosing a colour and feeling like all stars. Although there was a variety of colours and shades, I stuck to a basic brown – a little darker than my natural shade – but the idea of blue brows did have me intrigued.
The tinting process took a mere 10 or so minutes and it made my brows look full and beautiful. With a little waxing and shaping, I felt new and improved (and I think I might be addicted). Check out my instagram for a before/after selfie.
I’m lucky to have quite full eyebrows, but if yours need a little help, their Brow Extender adds little fibres which fill in any gaps while keeping that natural look.
We toured their lash extension facility, then learned about their new facials. Between the pomegranate peptide facial and the oxygen-infused mask, they’ll have your skin looking bright and restored in no time. I myself have one scheduled in a few days since I’m feeling a little dull.
Since the preview, I’ve been making my way through my media gift bag and testing their products. I absolutely adore the c-stick lip tint (in pomegranate). It colour corrects and blends in with my natural colour, but still enhances it just enough to give a natural rent tint. Perfect for work or play and it doesn’t leave my lips feeling dried out.
I’m also a fan of the Xtreme lash mascara as it glides onto my eyelashes and really enhances their length. I’ve got a couple other products to try, so keep an eye out for further reviews.
^ Now that’s what I call a goodie bag ^
The whole team is enthusiastic about the new line (and the store’s makeover) and they are eager to help patrons find a customized set of staple products. Head on in and see for yourself! There’s even a sale on…
