French Vinaigrette

This is the only salad dressing recipe you will ever need. Trust me, its the bomb. 

Plus, it’s super simple and lasts about 1 week. With only 5 cheap ingredients (all of which you likely have in your pantry), it’s become my staple dressing to whip up after a day at the office.

Douse it over some mixed greens, grill up a chicken breast, slice off a few pieces of baguette…and there you have it. A healthy meal in minutes!

I usually make the whole batch and then store it in the fridge to use throughout the week. It’s pretty much the only way that I’m guaranteed to eat salad.

Ingredients for about 6 servings:

– 1 Tablespoon mustard (1/2 dijon and 1/2 regular is the best combo)

– 3 Tablespoons balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar

– 9 Tablespoons olive oil or canola oil or vegetable oil

– salt and pepper

 

How to whip it up:

Step 1: Mix the mustard, salt and pepper.

Step 2: Add the balsamic vinegar and whisk together.

Step 3: Add 1/3 of the olive oil, whisk until combined. Repeat twice more.

Done and done!
