Sorry that I’ve slacked a bit last week! I’m still figuring out things with the new job – waking up at 6am is just brutal.
Anyway, this weekend Cole was away, so I took advantage of the time to have a bit of fun with some girls.
Jelena just moved to Marda Loop, so we spent the evening cruising around, checking out the restaurants and admiring the cute little shops and houses. It’s been exceptionally warm lately, and Saturday was no different. Decked out in summer outfits, hoping to get a bit of a tan, we searched for a relaxing patio.
Mid-walk we spotted the cutest pink house, and a mandatory photo-shoot ensued.
We landed on Fergus & Bix which is a bit of a restaurant/pub type place. Besides the food though, what really sold us was the double level patio. We snagged a seat in the corner, sun beaming down on our shoulders, and peered out the side for a little people-watching.
In no time we were busy chatting away, sharing stories about the week’s events.
We carb-loaded and giggled away, stuffing our bellies with “fuel” for the night’s events.
She had the veggie burger, steamed veg, and sweet potato fries.
While I stuck to one of my classic go-to-dishes – fish & chips. It was super filling and I only managed to eat one piece. I did, however, devour every last fry.
