I’ve got a great event for my ladies out there.
Women of Influence have announced an evening series titled “Young Women of Influence” which is happening all over North America. I follow them on Instagram and they’ve always got inspirational quotes and awe-inspiring women discussing important topics facing women these days.
You might have heard of Women of Influence before – they’ve hosted speakers such as Arianna Huffington, Margaret Atwood, and Kathleen Wynne to name a few. All with the aim at creating discussion around current success stories and helping women advance.
The next series features Shahauna Siddiqui, the Managing Partner & Co-founder of BlueEra and it’s happening here in Calgary on June 3rd. The event is from 530-730pm and tickets are $55 which includes wine, hors d’oeuvres, access to the keynote speaker, networking opportunities, and of course, free swag. Plus, there is complimentary childcare for any moms out there!
It’s at the Westin Calgary which makes it a perfect spot for downtown worker-bees – perhaps afterwards you can stop into the Keg for cocktails and Billy Miner Pie to discuss your take on the presentation. Please invite me with you.
If you’re into networking or you just want to eat some food and meet some cool chics, you should check this event out. Why not grab a couple ladies from the office and go together?
Shahauna has a ton of recruitment experience and helps find candidates for top-tier positions. My insider tells me she’ll be sharing her perspective on how to gain a competitive edge and take that next big step in your career. If you’re looking to make a switch, this presentation will be right up your alley – and if you aren’t, it doesn’t hurt to gain a little more insight. We can always improve ourselves!
Tickets are selling fast but you can snag one here.
See you there ladies!
I’m flattered to be writing this post in Collaboration with Women of Influence. All opinions are my own and I do believe this is a great event for all my young professional pals out there. Hoping to see you on the 3rd!
This piece is a collaboration piece with Women of Influence, but the opinions expressed are my own. As in, I think it is an excellent event for young women looking to network and advance their career.
