Culottes – Part I

Peeps, it is about time you jumped on the culottes bandwagon if you have not already.

I was a little nervous about wearing them out in public because hey, they were baggy and comfortable which is never a good sign.

But, paired with a cute sweater, a fitted crop, or a form-fitting blazer, they can look both professional and casual – and most importantly, rockin’.

I have worn this pair 3 times in the last week. Yes, they wrinkle quite easily, but a quick iron before I throw them on always does the trick.

They’re perfect for warm spring weather but long enough to keep you warm when the sun goes down and things cool off. I’m so over the short-shorts look so I’m really happy about this new trend. It’s so much more versatile and work-appropriate.

Today’s look is much more casual which I wore to dinner at the Living Room’s patio – you know, that day when it was 28 degrees and sunny?! But, I’ve also got another look that I will be posting later on as “Part 2” which features these babies in a much more conservative/office type atmosphere.

I haven’t nailed down my decision on footwear just yet, but I do like these booties because they elongate my legs and prevent the culottes from making me look too stumpy.
