Gift Guide: Gifts for Her

At the request of a reader, I’ve decided to turn my Christmas gift ideas post into a mini-series. Next up, I’m throwing the men out there a bone.

Last week I posted on Budget Friendly Christmas Gift Ideas, and as part 2 of the series, today I bring you Christmas Gift Ideas for Her. She can be a friend, colleague, girlfriend, wife, sister, mother, grand-mother, or just your general secret-Santa pick.

I get it, buying a gift for a lady can be a little bit challenging…but once you get to know us it isn’t that difficult. Check out my ideas below and comment with any others you might have!

When in doubt, if you aren’t set on it being a surprise, just ask!

Budget-Friendly ($)

Check out my post on Budget friendly ideas here. There are a ton of great ideas based on that special someone’s interests.

Wristlets: A girl can never have too many wristlets. They’re perfect for storing your cards, keys, phone, and a lip gloss before heading out for the night. Plus, with handy little straps they are built for dancing.

Scarves: I love getting scarves for Christmas because you can never have too many. They are perfect for wrapping up on cold days or adding to an outfit for a little more colour.

Jewellery: This should be an easy one gentleman. Who doesn’t love something sparkly, shiny, and new? Rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces are all good suggestions.

One of my favourite ideas is the Pandora Collection. There are often promos for a bracelet and a few starter charms to get you going. If she already has one, why not pick out a few charms that really speak to you about her? It’s something she can build on and personalize (or you can for future gifts).

Watches: Watches aren’t normally things we think of spending money on for ourselves, which makes them the perfect gift. Even if she already has one, buy her something that is different so she can switch it up every few days.

Purse: A new purse is always a great idea for that special lady in your life.We use them every day and I don’t know about other women, but I get sick of mine pretty quick. A good quality bag is worth the price. I prefer something with a satchel-type handle, but ones with two top handles are always a classy look. Something in brown or black is the safest bet for every-day wear, but if she’s already got that, why not add a little pop to her wardrobe.

Perfume: This is something I love to wear, but never want to pay the price to purchase. I am totally obsessed witht his scent right now. It’s smoky, luxurious, and sultry all wrapped into a beautiful bottle.

Kitchen Aid: I seriously love my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. It’s perfect for any one who loves to cook or bake (boy does it sure cream butter fast). With tons of colours, it’s pretty easy to personalize to match her favourite colour or kitchen decor. There are often sales at Hudson’s Bay, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ebay, Amazon, etc so keep an eye out if you’re interested in saving some dough. Plus, there are tons of attachments which make future gift-giving that much easier (hello ice cream maker!).

Winter Gear: There are some pretty fashionable coats out there but they tend to come with a hefty price tag. If you’re looking to splurge, this is a great idea that is practical and will last for years to come. Plus, with this winter expected to be quite brutal, it’s a pretty safe bet she’ll use it.
