As I don’t have any “Fashion Friday” pictures for you today, I thought I would share a few looks that have caught my eye this week as I’ve scoured through my usual fashion-related blogs.
It wouldn’t be a fashion post unless I featured something from The Classy Cubicle. I’ve been reading this blog religiously for the past year and I just can’t get enough.
This week’s look is so simple but layered so perfectly. The pink shirt really makes the pattern of her sweater pop, and although her shoes are fabulous, they are understated enough that they don’t draw away your attention. And can we just appreciate her lip colour for a second? Love it!
Check out this comfy knit. Doesn’t it just remind you of curling up in a blanket by the fireplace? I love how she pairs the bold fall hue of the sweater with an equally bold yet contrasting shoe. Although this look is great for a casual stroll or dinner with some friends, if you are looking to make it more work-appropriate, I would pair it with a skinny black dress-pant or pencil skirt.
I love the idea of a colored blazer for those days you just aren’t feeling the usual assortment of navys, greys, and blacks. This red jacket is professional, chic, and feminine and I absolutely love anything polka-dotted.
I’m posting this look almost solely for the shoes. Although I love a good skinny jean and black blazer, the inner brown and silver of the heel of these shoes is just so edgy!
Finally, a fellow Canadian!
I absolutely love the idea of layering a simple dress with a crew or v-neck sweater. It not only ties everything together, but makes it a little more fashion-forward and work appropriate. A bold necklace is a great idea if you are looking to keep things simple in the makeup department. I am especially a fan of the houndstooth print! (Note to self, I need to add more of it to my wardrobe!)
It was pretty hard for me to choose just one favourite from this week’s posts. Everything is so stylish and classy. She is the epitome of what I would like my style to become. From all neutrals to funky patterns, she has a way of styling items to make them look fashionable yet mature.
I love the idea of a fur vest this fall, they are a great way to spruce up those boring (yet slimming!) blacks.
I recently just discovered this blog while cruising on Instagram. She puts a lot of great looks together for Lauren Conrad and often features some great finds from the Paper Crown line. I love the transition from fall to winter because you see all these great jewel tones. This particular emerald sweater is one of my favourites so far and it is the perfect item to pair with a patterned skirt
